Boskalis Beach Cleanup Family Day

For the Boskalis Beach Cleanup, we turned tidying up into a mission. Because with just a bin bag, everyone gives up after ten minutes.

Hundreds of colleagues and their children headed towards Katwijk, with music along the route. Every piece of plastic was logged straight away in the global Literati app. That way you could see the results of the cleanup right there on the spot.

The best moment was at the 3D printers: a bottle picked off the beach turned into a small keepsake. For the kids it suddenly became crystal clear: this is what tidying up can produce.

You don't win people over by wagging a finger, but by making it visible. A cleaner coast and a day people kept talking about long afterwards.
