How many slogans do you test before choosing one?

You test at least 3-5 strong slogans before choosing one. The testing method consists of three steps:

  1. A sample of 30-50 members of your audience.
  2. Show slogans without context (blind test).
  3. Ask about recall, resonance and intention.

Measure quantitatively with scores and percentages. Many companies choose on gut feeling and regret it later: data helps prevent this. For large events (200+ guests, brand budget €5k+) it is worth really testing. For smaller ones you can manage with 2-3 slogans and the internal core team.
