Think in four categories.
Location and technical production: power failure, internet outage, equipment breakdown.
External and weather-related: rain, extreme heat, traffic and public transport disruption.
Staff and suppliers: cancellation by a speaker or artist, catering that does not deliver, a host team that drops out.
Guests and safety: a medical incident, too many or too few attendees, a conflict or emergency situation.
Start with a long list and then assess which risks have the highest likelihood-impact score. Those deserve a concrete action plan.
