What does it cost to make an event more accessible for people with a disability?

Most adaptations cost less than you think, or are already included in a good venue choice. A few examples of adaptations. A venue with step-free access costs nothing extra. For a deaf interpreter, expect €300 to €600 per half-day. Sign language translation for a livestream runs up to €400 to €800. Setting up a quiet space is free if the venue already has the room.

The biggest cost item is awareness: factoring in accessibility at an early stage is always cheaper than adapting later. Have it included as a standard part of your venue brief.
