Not by default. It depends on the message you want to convey.
At an internal event (staff party, anniversary), the event logo can dominate and the company logo can appear small as a sender in the corner.
At client events where the corporate brand is the star of the evening, it works the other way around.
At a brand activation, the company logo can sometimes be absent entirely. The activation then has its own brand identity that refers back indirectly.
Pick one model before you brief the designer. People who switch halfway through almost always end up with a compromise that looks like nothing.
