What is an event communication plan?

An event communication plan describes when, what, to whom and through which channel you communicate around your event. It runs from the first announcement weeks before the event to the follow-up afterwards.

A good communication plan has six phases: pre-announcement, official announcement, invitation, reminders, day-of communication and follow-up. Each touchpoint has its own goal and tone.
