What is the difference between a corporate event and a staff party?

A staff party is a type of corporate event, specifically aimed at your own staff. The goal is connection, appreciation and fun. A corporate event is the broad term: any event a company organises with a business goal falls under it.

Other types of corporate events are a kick-off (strategy launch), a company anniversary (celebrating a milestone) and a client event (customers and partners). There are also a conference or symposium (sharing knowledge) and an incentive (rewarding top performers). Each type requires a different approach, venue and programme.
