Deventer and Zwolle are both Hanseatic cities on the IJssel, but they feel different as event locations. Zwolle is bigger, more businesslike and has more conference capacity for large events (200 to 600 people).
Deventer is smaller-scale, more historic and more intimate, with a rich medieval town centre that radiates atmosphere and authenticity. For team days, client days and staff parties of 30 to 200 people, Deventer is at least as strong as Zwolle. Choose Zwolle for scale and business focus; choose Deventer for authentic character and the IJssel experience.
