How do you brief a speaker well for a corporate event?

A good speaker brief contains seven elements. The description of the audience, the theme of the event and its position in the programme form the basis. In addition, you specify the desired tone (inspiring, informative or confronting) and the duration including or excluding Q&A. Finish with relevant organisational context and any topics you want to avoid.

Always schedule a preliminary conversation of at least 30 minutes no later than two weeks before the event. Speakers who refuse this conversation or treat it too lightly are a risk.
