How do I make a good shot list for my event photographer?

Start with the must-haves: a venue overview, guest arrival, all stage components, the networking moment and the closing. Add nice-to-haves: styling details, name cards, build-up, behind-the-scenes.

Make the shot list together with your photographer, at least a week before the event. Be specific but leave room for spontaneity.
