What are the legal requirements for accessibility at events?

In the Netherlands, the Equal Treatment (Disability or Chronic Illness) Act applies. For events, this means you must make reasonable adaptations for people with a disability. In practice: provide wheelchair-accessible entrances and exits, accessible toilets and induction loops for the hard of hearing. Also ensure enough space between tables and chairs.

Actively ask about accessibility needs at sign-up. For large events, an accessibility plan is recommended. Live Impact assesses venues for accessibility as standard.
