50-150 people: at least 3-4 months. 150-500 people: 5-8 months. 500+ people: 9-12 months, sometimes more. Popular venues are often booked up a year in advance for Friday and Saturday evenings. Always start earlier than the minimum term requires. In practice, projects quickly overrun.
