The assessment runs in three phases. Phase one: file review. The agency submits annual figures, work processes, a sample quote, client satisfaction surveys and training plans. An independent auditor checks the documents.
Phase two: on-site audit. An auditor visits the office and speaks to staff at various levels. Junior event manager, senior producer and leadership. The aim: to test whether what's on paper is also lived in practice. Phase three: decision. An independent certification committee reviews the file plus the audit report. The whole process takes three to six months.
