A good anniversary speech lasts 6 to 8 minutes. No longer. After 8 minutes your audience loses focus.
Split your time: 1 to 2 minutes recognisable opening, 3 to 4 minutes core story, 1 to 2 minutes forward-looking close. Rehearse with a timer. Shorter is almost always better than longer.
