Organisations like MyClimate, Carbonfund or Gold Standard offer offset programmes, often €0.50-€2.00 per tonne of CO2. You pay this amount; they invest in wind and solar projects or reforestation to remove CO2 from the air. Note: not a full offset, because forests grow slowly. It does show commitment. More effective is to prevent first (catering, transport) and only then offset. Communicate transparently. 'This event has been offset' adds value.
