The best tool is the one your audience understands without explanation. For corporate events, Mentimeter, Slido and Poll Everywhere work well as polling tools. Everyone picks up their phone and votes via a QR code.
For questions and discussion, digital question walls are effective. Participants submit questions that appear instantly on a screen. The audience upvotes them. For smaller groups, low-threshold offline interaction is often more powerful: conversation cards, whiteboards, sticky notes. No technical barrier, more human contact.
Our rule of thumb: use no more than one new tool per event. More tools lead to confusion. Fewer tools lead to more interaction.
