Alkmaar is excellently accessible from across Noord-Holland and the Randstad. A direct train from Amsterdam Centraal takes 35 minutes. From Haarlem and Schiphol it's 40 to 50 minutes.
By car, the city sits on the A9, with car parks and parking lots on the edge of the city centre. Want to bring guests together from Amsterdam, Den Helder or West-Friesland? Alkmaar is then a logical middle ground with excellent public transport links.
