Groningen is easy to reach by train from Amsterdam (2.5 hours), Zwolle and Leeuwarden. The A7 connects the city with the rest of the Netherlands. Groningen Airport Eelde offers flights for guests from other countries or regions.

For events in the northern Netherlands, the rule is: plan transport in actively. Not everyone has a car. Not everyone knows the region. Good logistical planning makes your event accessible to everyone. That means group transport, clear parking tips and information on public transport routes.

Organising a corporate event in Groningen doesn't by definition cost less than in Amsterdam. Venues are sometimes cheaper, but technical kit, production and acts cost the same nationwide. And suppliers' travel costs are sometimes higher when they come from far away.
