A passive event is an event where the audience listens, watches and receives. The information flow runs from stage to room. An interactive event reverses the direction: participants respond, choose, discuss and contribute.
That can be through live polling, group assignments, Q&A sessions, physical activities or digital tools. The difference is not in the budget or the venue, but in the design. An interactive event requires more preparation. You need to know which moments lend themselves to interaction, which formats suit your group and how you guard the rhythm.
The result is an event where participants have actively contributed.
