How do you make a large event interactive without chaos?

Large groups call for more structure, not less interaction. The key is layered work: provide interaction on three levels at the same time. Individual (everyone votes or writes something down), in pairs (chat with the person next to you) and plenary (feedback to the room).

That way everyone feels involved, even in a room of 500 people. Use an experienced moderator who reads the energy and adjusts. Choose tools that work quickly and need no explanation, such as simple voting apps or coloured cards.

Build in interaction moments at fixed intervals: every 20 to 25 minutes a switch in mode. That way you hold attention and prevent fatigue.
