AFAS Love Boat staff party

Leusden-based AFAS ERP Software has a tradition to uphold when it comes to organising its annual staff party. Months in advance, all employees and their partners are busy sourcing the perfect costume for the evening. Because AFAS always celebrates its staff party in style. 450 employees dressed in gala attire with partners were guests at a very special venue that evening.

Especially for the occasion, the sailing event venue the Pureliner had been transformed into a veritable Love Boat. Like in the 1970s television series of the same name, Love Boat Captain Merrill Stubing and cruise director Judy McCoy were ready to give guests a warm welcome at the gangplank. Personeels-feest.nl devised and organised the annual staff party for AFAS for the second year running.

Love, exciting and new …
After the mooring lines were untied, the stately boat with the large opened roof sailed slowly through the Amsterdam waters. A balmy summer evening breeze and the twinkling starry sky did the rest.

After a real captain’s dinner with exclusive dishes, the musical Love Boat crew provided a special danceable show with a high sing-along content. The master shakers of the Fabulous Shaker Boys mixed summer cocktails continuously during the staff party, while the adventurous could take a gamble in the white casino lounge. DJ champion Marcel Aarts set the stage for a swinging staff party finale with singer Belle Perez and her live band.

Tailor-made branding
What was special about this event was that the entire Love Boat had undergone an AFAS branding makeover. Right down to the displays on the drinks taps, it was clear who was the proud organiser of this special event. A few days after the staff party, enthusiastic reactions could still be read on Twitter and Facebook.

AFAS ERP Software asked Live Impact to come up with an original concept and organise the staff party in its entirety.
